Wellness Skills Supports – Adult Learning Centres

Wellness Skills Supports (WSS) is a wellness skills and support service operated and managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association, Manitoba and Winnipeg (CMHA) that has been integrated into Adult Learning on Lombard (ALOL), an adult literacy program funded by Manitoba Education and Training and delivered in collaboration with the River East Transcona School Division (RETSD).
The Adult Learning on Lombard Program (ALOL) aims to improve the literacy of adult learners resulting in improved skills, employability and earning potential. The vision of WSS is to enhance learner’s preparedness for change in the education program and future employment by providing wrap-around support and linkage to other supports and services to improve their overall well-being, engagement and success.
It’s about supporting people to build a life, it’s not just about what do you need to do today to stay in school, it’s about taking a step back and looking at the whole picture, providing hope and inspiration to move ahead and dream about where they want to be.

We acknowledge that we work in Treaty One Territory, at the crossroads of the Anishinaabe, Métis, Cree, Dakota and Oji-Cree Nations, and on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe peoples and the homeland of the Métis Nation
